COST: $100 Another printer for only the most basic of printing needs. The Epson Stylus C40UX Inkjet Printer will provide adequate quality for your printing needs, but not much more. This printer is certainly not appropriate for an office or home professional, and don’t be completely fooled by the price. The Epson Stylus C40UX Inkjet Printer may be dirt cheap, but it goes through its ink cartridges extremely quickly, so be aware of ink cartridge costs. Other negatives: no availability for parallel connectivity (only USB), no large format availability for printing, this printer cannot monitor the ink levels in your cartridges with exact reliability, and to top it off, this printer is noisy and has a low resolution. It should be easy to operate, but again, keep your expectations low and realistic.
