COST: $450 This model printer has a lot of great qualities, and some not so great qualities. For anyone who loves to print photos, this printer is probably for you. The HP PhotoSmart 1315 Inkjet Printer prints photos at a resolution of up to 2400 x 1200 DPI, and even better, you don’t need to upload your pictures onto your PC. You can print them directly from the printer, and even alter their appearance on its LCD display. The HP PhotoSmart 1315 Inkjet Printer can also work with several different operating systems, has an option for duplex printing, and is quiet. Now for the negatives. This printer’s ink cartridges are not cheap, and you might be replacing them quite often since the HP PhotoSmart 1315 Inkjet Printer comes with a tri-color cartridge instead of separate ink cartridges for each color. If only one color runs dry, you have to buy an ink cartridge to replace all three. Also not so great is this printer’s paltry 16 MB of Ram memory which cannot be upgraded any higher. Decent printer? Yes. Great? No.
