COST: $750 This printer is also intended for customers who primarily use large format paper. In fact, if you rarely use 11 x 17 paper during printing, this printer is not for you. The HP LaserJet 5000 Printer can print on thick paper and produce high resolution graphics, but it is not a color printer. The speed of its printing is adequate, but its main appeal is its ability to handle large print jobs reliably and with little wear and tear. As you can imagine when printing on such large paper, ink cartridges will empty fairly quickly and need to be replaced often. Ink cartridges for the HP LaserJet 5000 Printer are expensive, but on the plus side, they do last a long time on this model. This printer may be more of a specialty item, but for those who need it, it will do the job.
