COST: $100 This is another fine personal printer for those with basic printing needs. The HP DeskJet 5150 Inkjet Printer produces high quality black-and-white text as well as color graphics and photos. Its photo resolution can reach up to 4800 x 1200 DPI, and other fine features are its small size and its reasonable price. But for those of you with any kind of heavy duty printing needs, this printer will fall short of what you’re looking for. The HP DeskJet 5150 Inkjet Printer comes with a tri-color cartridge instead of separate ink cartridges for each individual color, and so any large amount of color printing will result in frequent ink cartridge replacement. Other mediocre features are its tiny 8 MB of Ram memory, and those who want an additional paper tray or the option to duplex will have to pay for the privilege. This printer is no doubt solid, but it is not anything remarkable.
