The HP Color LaserJet 8550n Laser Printer is an enormous piece of hardware, and with good reason. Along with its impressive printing capabilities, this printer has multiple paper trays, including one for large format 11 x 17 paper, and prints 60,000 pages per duty cycle. The multiple paper trays allow you to refill one empty tray while the printer will simply continue siphoning paper from another, and the large format printing capability is ideal for CAD and for publishing offices. The HP Color LaserJet 8550n Laser Printer is meant to work as part of a network, and its memory can be expanded from 64 MB of Ram memory all the way to 512 MB, so there should be no concerns about this printer slowing down under massive loads. It prints 24 pages per minute for black-and-white text, and 6 pages per minute for color printing. The only real question to debate is the cost, which will vary from office to office. But for printing abilities alone, this printer is as good as advertised.
